It’s a rare thing to get an inside glimpse on how words and a tune somehow converge and turn into pure gold, but that’s the opportunity that Aspenites have with THE STORIES BEHIND THE SONGS, a new three-part series produced by and starring JOHN OATES.

PATTY GRIFFIN and SCOTT MILLER are the tuneful guests that help John convey private stories of big public hits, and they do it with three guitars and three stools. This is as close to the music as you will ever get, and it starts this SUNDAY, FEBRUARY 15 at 7:30pm.

And the second THE STORIES BEHIND THE SONGS evening is fast on its heels, on THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 26, featuring TIFT MERRITT and SCOTT EMERICK, also at 7:30pm.

Nelson Mandela specifically asked for him when he wanted someone to articulate the hopes and dreams of the people of South Africa at the inauguration of the century.
