THOUGHT THE SEASON WAS JUST ABOUT OVER?
GUESS AGAIN!
TUESDAY NIGHT: ARLO GUTHRIE
BRUCE COCKBURN RETURNS TO THE WHEELER
APRIL 7
AND THE ROOFTOP COMEDY FESTIVAL
LIGHTS UP JUNE
AND BOTH HAVE EXCLUSIVE OFFERS JUST FOR YOU!

TUESDAY NIGHT: ARLO GUTHRIE. NUFF SAID
The man’s father was Woody Guthrie. He was playing harmonica with Leadbelly at the age of three. And no one at the 1969 festival was more Woodstock than ARLO GUTHRIE.
Now he’s back at the Wheeler for the first time in over a decade, this Tuesday night, MARCH 25. $45.00.

CANADA’S PATRON SAINT OF FOLK - BRUCE COCKBURN - STARRING IN A VERY LIMITED 2-FOR-1 TICKET OFFER.
Our friend Josh Behrman at Mountain Groove Productions is bringing back another Wheeler favorite on TUESDAY, APRIL 7.
By our reckoning it’s been over four years since the incredibly durable BRUCE COCKBURN stopped by the Wheeler to prove once and for all why he is Canada’s longest-running singer/songwriter/troubadour. Piercingly earnest songs with a quick wit and unforgettable hook, delivered with an intimacy that keeps you inside the story from the first note. All good stuff and oh so Aspen.
And now for three days - Wednesday thru Friday, March 25 - 27 only - as a Wheeler email patron you can get two tickets for the price of one for this end-of-season concert. Just call or come by the Wheeler, but make sure you do it before 6pm on the 27th. Otherwise you have to pay the full ticket price -$40.00 - for a show you knew you were going to come to anyway.

A QUICK PLUG FOR BRANDI CARLILE
One thing the Wheeler has become known for in the last year is introducing great new singer/songwriters to our Aspen audience. Our friend John Oates did a lot of this heavy-lifting with his “Stories Behind The Songs” series (which if you missed it, you missed the best concert of the year, and we won’t tell you which one!).
But BRANDI CARLILE we found on our own, and whether you’re 15 or 75, this twentysomething master is one of the leading new voices in songwriting. She’s torn up the charts with effortless singles like “The Story” and “Turpentine” that get stuck in your head and won’t come out. But more than that, every song she writes is brilliant - and how many artists can you say that about?!
We chased her for a year and a half, and finally got her to come to Aspen. So mark TUESDAY, APRIL 14 on your calendars and come get to know Brandi in a very special acoustic evening with her three-piece band. $35.00 all seats.

NO LAUGH TRACK NEEDED. THIS IS THE REAL FUNNY.
Long-short: THE SECOND ROOFTOP COMEDY FESTIVAL is kicking off the summer season, JUNE 11 - 14.
Eight shows. Thirty stand-up comedians. The National Campus Comedy Competition semi-finals and finals, webcast live from Aspen.
And the talent is top-shelf: The first festival’s hands-down favorite, Robert Hawkins. Comedy Central stand-up special veterans Josh Sneed, Dan Cummins, Lachlan Patterson, and Todd Glass. Ted Alexandro from “Reno 911.” Political satirist Will Durst. And that’s just seven names.
We’ll also introduce the best of the new faces, including Tracey Ashley, Pat Dixon, JR Brow, Kyle Grooms, and Cameron Esposito - all of which you can check out at RooftopComedy.com.
Last year’s attendees told us the Rooftop Comedy Festival was the best comedy festival that’s ever been here (are you listening, HBO?). This year’s festival is bigger and better, with two additional events and an extra day. Think of us as a comedic stimulus package.
And if you are a Roaring Fork Valley resident, for a very limited time you can take advantage of an insanely good deal. A $137.50 value, our festival passes are going for just $99.00.
But wait, it gets better: Come by our box office with proof of local residency and you can get festival passes for only $79.00 (through April 17). If you catch yourself snoozing through mid-April, you can still get a great deal, with locals’ festival passes only $89.00 (through May 15).
If you snooze all the way to Memorial Day, well … $99.00 is still a great deal. But we suggest a strong cup of coffee and a map down to the Wheeler. Come June, you’ll be glad you did.
