Greetings!

This month, I’ll be featuring a lot =
of specials from Jackson Hole (which also happens to be my favorite =
place on earth).  4th of July is right around the corner and a =
great time to be in Jackson Hole - from enjoying a free outdoor =
concert by the Grand Teton Music Festival to the impressive fireworks =
at the base of Snow King Mountain - it is one of the most anticipated =
holidays of the year.   It’s not too late to plan a getaway - call us at 888-733-1093 for a last minute trip quote.  =

But wouldn’t you know, now that summer is officially here, I =
am thinking about winter again.  Some of you are already =
experiencing temperatures above 100 degrees, so why not escape for a =
few minutes and think about whooshing down the side of a mountain, =
cutting through powdery soft snow with blue skies above you and =
breathtaking views all around you?

I hope to see you soon in =
the Rocky Mountains!

Lauryn

A Dream Fishing Getaway

At ALLTrips.com, we have passions that keep us busy every =
season.  I can easily speak for Lisa and Betsy when I say - =
fishing is our favorite.  So, when a client called last week =
looking for a fishing getaway for him and his son, who just spent his =
first year in college), we were MORE than excited to help him!  =
We arranged for them right before school started again, with airfare =
into Jackson Hole and out of Bozeman, a car rental, 4 nights in Teton =
Village at Teton Mountain Lodge (with lodging discounted at about 20%) to fish the Snake River, 4 =
nights in a Cabin at Moonlight (with sweeping mountain views AND the =
4th Night Free) to fish the Gallatin and Yellowstone on the way =
and 4 full day guided trips - with plenty of time for wade fishing and =
exploring the region.

For a dream fishing vacation, or =
any dream vacation, we take great pride in setting up our clients with =
lodging and activities they will remember fondly for years.  We =
are excited for this father and son team and can’t wait to hear how it =
went.

THE 2nd ROOFTOP COMEDY FESTIVAL - SINGLE TIX NOW ON SALE!

…………………………………….

THE SECOND ANNUAL ROOFTOP COMEDY FESTIVAL.
JUNE 11, 12, 13.
THIRTY COMEDIANS IN THREE DAYS.
PLUS THE NATIONAL COLLEGE COMEDY COMPETITION.
IT’S SOME SERIOUS FUNNY.

———————————————————————-
EIGHT SHOWS. THREE DAYS. $99 PASSES. SPECIAL PASS-AND-HOTEL PACKAGES. WE MAKE IT EASY FOR YOU TO LAUGH.

The Wheeler wants you.

In an age where it’s tough to find great value in entertainment, the Wheeler steps up with the bargain of the summer season. ROOFTOP COMEDY FESTIVAL “Independence Pass” holders get to see all eight comedy presentations for just $99. For about the cost of a movie (and definitely LESS than a movie with popcorn!) per show, you can witness the newest names in stand-up, be part of a global live webcast for the National College Comedy Competition, and just plain have the best time laughing since the Dow Industrial Average sat at 14,000.

This is the festival that attendees in its first year raved was “BETTER THAN THE HBO FESTIVAL.” And since we held the U.S. Comedy Arts/HBO Festival in high regard, this is pretty raucous praise.

And our 2009 festival is bigger, better, and features an even more diverse mix of great name talent (Will Durst, Ted Alexandro, and Finesse Mitchell, to name a few) with the finest young stand-ups working up through the ranks.

The $99 “Independence Pass” is available right up to 6:45pm on Thursday night, June 11th - just before the first show starts. But why wait?

And if you’re from out of the area (or just don’t want your special friends staying with you), there are GREAT pass-and-hotel packages available - check it out at www.stayaspensnowmass.com ( http://wheeleroperahouse.pmailus.com/pmailweb/ct?d=IPY_lwGhAAEAAAdoAALmcA ) !

———————————————————————-
SINGLE TICKETS NOW ON SALE!

We know sometimes it’s hard to make a commitment. That’s why - even though we’re SURE that you’d love ALL the Rooftop shows - we are now on sale with single tix. Here’s a rundown of the shows:
* ROOFTOP AT LARGE #1 - Thursday, 6/11, at 6:45pm. $27.50 all seats.
Comedian and political pundit Will Durst launches the festival, followed by sets by Comedy Central’s Dan Cummins, “Reno 911″ star Ted Alexandro, and Laurie Kilmartin. The Chicago Tribune calls Will Durst a “hysterical hybrid of Hunter Thompson and Charles Osgood,” although the Washington Post portrays him as “the dark Prince of doubt.” All agree Durst is America’s premier political comic. Dan Cummins describes himself as “the greatest comic to ever come out of Riggins, Idaho,” who talks about Bigfoot, hitchhikers, squirrels, Spiderman, lettuce, ants, cobras, the homeless, and more, in his own unique, somewhat dark style. Ted Alexandro has performed in London, Amsterdam and three times at Montreal’s Just for Laughs Comedy Festival. Time Out NY magazine recently named Ted “one of the top comedians working today.” Laurie Kilmartin has performed in Iraq, the UK, the Montreal Comedy Festival and is currently a staff writer for “Tough Crowd With Colin Quinn.” Local comedians Don Chaney and Alexa Fitzpatrick open and emcee the evening.

* NATIONAL COLLEGE COMEDY COMPETITION SEMIFINALS - Thursday, 6/11, at 8:45pm. FREE ADMISSION.
Comic Kevin Avery hosts the action, as East versus West and South versus Midwest in this mano-a-mano face-off to see which institutions of higher learning will see their teams of four make it to the death cage of comedy on Saturday night. Well, maybe not death cage, but certainly the most highly-anticipated college smackdown in comedy history. “Improv Mafia” is a new campus-comedy segment that leads off the show with twenty minutes of no-holds-barred improvisation. [Admission is free for this event - no ticket required!]

* ROOFTOP BEST AND BRIGHTEST #1 - Friday, 6/12, at 6:45pm. $20.00 all seats.
Four great new faces -Cameron Esposito, Moshe Kasher, Jessi Campbell, and Ty Barnett -take turns warming up the stage before Matt Braunger proves why he was the audience favorite of last year’s festival. Matt Braunger has played every major comedy stage in his new hometown of Los Angeles, from The Improv to Comedy Death Ray and beyond, and was seen in the New Faces group at the 2007 Just For Laughs Festival in Montreal before last year’s Aspen stint. Cameron Esposito was nominated for Best Female Comic 2007 by the Chicago Comedy Awards, and was RooftopComedy’s hand-picked stand-up winner at Chicago’s Snubfest competition. Moshe Kasher has been called a “name to watch” by NBC-TV; “Everything you want in a comedian” by the East Bay Express; and “displays a fiery frustration and agile, confident showcase of his neuroses” by the San Francisco Examiner. With her high energy and hilarious stories keeping audiences on the edge of their seats, Jessi Campbell comes to Aspen this year as the winner of RooftopComedy’s People’s Choice Comic online competition. As for Ty Barnett, after numerous appearances on TV commercials and live shows such as ABC’s “Jimmy Kimmel Live,” he is a regular on CBS’ “Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson.” Local favorite Mark Thomas emcees the evening.

* ROOFTOP AT LARGE NO. 2 - Friday, 6/12, at 8:30pm. $27.50 all seats.
Three stand-up special mainstays–Josh Sneed, Daniel Kinno, and Lachlan Patterson–kill it with extended sets that prove why they are leading the pack of rising stand-up talents. Josh Sneed has appeared on Comedy Central’s “Premium Blend” and on the Bob & Tom Radio Show, has opened for various members of the Blue Collar Comedy Tour, and has performed at Montreal’s Just For Laughs Comedy Festival. Daniel Kinno delivers insightful and raucous narratives on topics ranging from the menial tasks of daily life, to relationships, pop culture, and his unusual Russian heritage with a truly unique perspective. Lachlan Patterson performed at the Montreal Comedy Festival in 2006 and made his American television debut on Comedy Central’s “Live at Gotham.” Paul Soleo emcees the evening.

* ROOFTOP AFTER DARK - Friday, 6/12, at 10:15pm. $20.00 all seats.
Last year’s #1 stand-up favorite and winner of the Comic’s Comic award, Robert Hawkins closes the second day of the festival after fat sets by new-comic favorites W. Kamau Bell, Tommy Johnagin, and Tracey Ashley. A Bay Area comedian, writer, and director for more than ten years, Kamau Bell was named 2008 Comedian of the Year by The San Francisco Weekly, is the star of the critically acclaimed one-man show The W. Kamau Bell Curve: Ending Racism in About an Hour, and is half of RooftopComedy’s entertainment-focused talk program, “Siskel & Negro.” Tommy Johnagin is a favorite at comedy clubs all across the country working almost every week and in 2007 was invited to the prestigious Just For Laughs Festival in Montreal, where he was the highest reviewed “New Face.” Tracey Ashley has performed as part of HBO’s Las Vegas Comedy Festival, HBO’s “The Lucky 21″ Contest, and in 2007 was a semi-finalist on NBC’s “Last Comic Standing.” In 2001, Robert Hawkins was voted one of the 25 top comics in the country for the American Comedy Awards. He’s starred in his own Comedy Central half-hour special, appeared on “Late Night With Conan O’Brien,” had a standing gig as the brother-in-law on “Titus,” and has worked on a slew of other TV shows. Hasan Minhaj emcees the evening.

* NATIONAL COLLEGE COMEDY COMPETITION FINALS - Saturday, 6/13, at 6:45pm. FREE ADMISSION.
This is the big one, webcast live from Aspen. Two teams of four pushing their comic limits one last time to determine what campus produces the funniest student body. Be a part of comic history in this special free event [no ticket required].

* ROOFTOP BEST AND BRIGHTEST NO. 2 - Saturday, 6/13, at 8:30pm. $20.00 all seats.
A six-pack burns it up in prime-time, as Marina Franklin, Pete Lee, Kyle Grooms, Lisa Landry, and J.R. Brow each take twelve minutes to prove why they’re the best new names in the business today. With appearances in “Chappelle’s Show,” the second season of NBC’s “Last Comic Standing,” “Show Time at The Apollo,” and others, it’s easy to declare that Marina Franklin is one of the hottest comics working today. Pete Lee is a regular on the Bob and Tom radio show, has been seen on Comedy Central’s “Premium Blend,” and was invited to Montreal’s Just For Laughs Comedy Festival, where he was a standout in Dating It and New Faces. Returning from the 2008 Festival is Lisa Landry, who also has her own half-hour Comedy Central special, which catapulted to third place in Comedy Central’s 2008 Annual Standup Showdown–the first woman to ever place in the top three. J. R. Brow is no stranger to Aspen, having stomped our stages as part of the HBO/U.S. Comedy Arts Festival with his ferocious musings on everything from the roots of pop music to Donkey Kong.

* THE BIG SHOW - Saturday, 6/13, at 10:15pm. $27.50 all seats.
Last year’s fiendishly-funny Andi Smith emcees the closing performance, featuring extended sets from Chad Daniels, Pat Dixon and Finesse Mitchell. A veteran of CBS’ “The Late Late Show,” Chad Daniels was a finalist in Comedy Central’s Laugh Riots Competition, and performed as a New Face at Montreal’s prestigious Just for Laughs Comedy and Arts Festival. Recognized as a top-notch writer and engaging performer, Pat Dixon has appeared on Comedy Central’s “Premium Blend” and has also appeared numerous times on the nationally-syndicated Bob and Tom radio show. A cast member on “Saturday Night Live” since 2003, Finesse Mitchell’s witty sense of humor, Southern charm and stage presence had already made him one of the brightest young stars on the comedy horizon–and the perfect closer for this second breakthrough festival for lovers of new-comic comedy. It’s gonna be hard to decide! So doesn’t that $99 pass look good now?
